“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is … fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1933 Presidential Inauguration
Today we watched as the video below dropped. The reaction was visceral. People panicked. Moms pulled their little ones closer and fathers shuddered inwardly.
Did you ever stop to consider that the purpose of the video may be to create fear? Information warfare is at all-time high. Our minds are a battlefield easier breached than a stone wall.
Fear is addictive and powerful. Once the mind embraces fear, the body meekly follows. The media knows this and feeds your fear. They make money off of feeding fear. They also use it to control and weaken you. Fear is a necessary ingredient for propaganda to take hold. If you are not in a fear state, it is much more difficult to be indoctrinated by propaganda. As Joseph Goebbels said,
“This is the secret of propaganda: Those who are to be persuaded by it should be completely immersed in the ideas of the propaganda, without ever noticing that they are being immersed in it.”
It’s good to be informed. It’s good to understand the world around us. But we must get smart to our enemy’s plays. We cannot lose the battle because we let our minds be conquered.
We are in a battle for our very nation. Learn to love the fight–and learn to recognize when fear is bating you into surrender.
